MARIANELLA RAMOS


Marianella Ramos was born in Caracas, Venezuela. She started her piano and music studies at Experimental School of Music Manuel Alberto López and continued at the same time in the National Conservatory of Music Juan José Landaeta.
She got her diploma at both institutions in 2001.
During her career, Ms. Ramos has won important prizes, such as: First place at the first national competition “El Piano Venezolano” (The Venezuelan Piano); First and Special Award at The Ángel Sauce Piano Competition; Honorary Award at Yamaha National Piano Competition; among others.
As a soloist, Ms. Ramos has performance in several and important venues in her country. She also has presented with important orchestras such as: Venezuela Youth Orchestra, Jóvenes Arcos and Maracaibo’s National Orchestra, playing brightly significant piano Concertos.
Ms. Ramos recorded her first compact disc “Bachangó” on December 2004 that was released the next year at Ateneo Teather. It was a successful and the event got good commentaries from the critic.
As a teacher, she developed her career in the same institution where she studied, Experimental School of Music Manuel Alberto Lopez, and in the School of Music Ana Magdalena Bach.
Miss Ramos came to Canada in 2007 and since then she has presented in different venues as a soloist and in companion with several local artists, trying not only to spread Venezuelan and Latin-American culture but looking to make a social impact through her music.
Miss Ramos is an active member of Fusion Latina Vancouver’s Latin American Choir.
